Why volunteer with us?
The Bus Preservation Society of WA ("BPSWA") is a self-funded not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the preservation of bus history in Western Australia. Their motto is: “Preserving Bus Heritage for present and future generations.”
If you are interested in heritage bus transport and have some time and passion to share with this amazingly dedicated group of people, then please get in touch.
What kind of roles are available?
DRIVERS
If you would enjoy driving vintage buses – whether inside the natural bushland surrounds of Whiteman Park or taking the fleet on the road for external displays – then now is the time to get in touch!
GENERAL HANDS
There is a lot involved in supporting the Society and keeping their fleet of heritage buses in top condition. Volunteers who can help with cleaning the buses, checking tyres, regularly starting the buses to keep their motors happy, collecting waste batteries from donors and collecting or delivering parts are all well appreciated.
ADMINISTRATION
People with word processing skills, bookkeeping knowledge, research, writing or editing experience to assist with publications and the BPSWA website are all welcome to help with this important range of office and administration work.
PROMOTIONS
Event Coordinators who can organise the Society’s internal and external displays to promote the important work that BPS does and Tour Guides to support the Discovery Bus Tours are currently sought.
AUTOMOTIVE AND ALLIED TRADESPEOPLE
Mechanics, electricians, fitters, panel beaters, painter, body builders, trimmers, metalworkers, woodworkers and trade assistants can all help with maintaining and restoring the impressive fleet.

The best way to get in touch with BPSWA to discuss volunteering opportunities is to contact Whiteman Park’s Volunteer Coordinator on 9209 6000 or complete the Volunteer Registration Form. We’ll then pass on your details to the BPSWA committee.
