In total, 12 birds of prey species have been surveyed in the Park.

Six species are from the Accipitridae family of kites, hawks and eagles, four are falcons (Falconidae family) and two are owls – the barn owl and Southern boobook owl.

These birds are the natural top-order predators in the area and all are diurnal (active during the day), with the exception of the two nocturnal owls. Of the twelve species, all are settled species with the exception of the itinerant peregrine falcon, which is protected in Western Australia under an international agreement for migratory species.
