Whiteman Park is located in Western Australia, just a short 25-minute drive from the Perth CBD or 18 kilometres north-east of the city as the wedge-tailed eagle flies.
The Park is free to enter every day of the year, with a range of wildlife and transport heritage attractions, recreation facilities and tours.
There are entrance fees for some attractions, recreational activities and tours, while many of our facilities can be enjoyed for free. Pick up a What's On calendar from the Visitor Information Centre or explore our website for more details.
Getting Here
Arriving by car or taxi
Take Lord Street from the CBD – this turns into Guildford Road. At Tonkin Highway, turn right to join the highway northbound. Take the Hepburn Avenue exit, then follow the tourist signs to Whiteman Park (take a right around the roundabout underpass, which takes you back on to Beechboro Road North). The Whiteman Park entrance is approximately 500m south of the turn-off.
Please note: There is a taxi rank adjacent to the Visitor Information Centre that is used as the standard drop off and pick up point for those utilising taxi services or rideshares. The taxi rank's location allows for easy pedestrian access to all major attractions and the Village picnic areas.
Take Canning Highway, Great Eastern Highway or Leach Highway, heading north-east until you reach the Tonkin Highway intersection. Turn left onto Tonkin Highway and continue north. Take the Hepburn Avenue exit, then follow the tourist signs to Whiteman Park (take a right around the roundabout underpass, which takes you back on to Beechboro Road North). The Whiteman Park entrance is approximately 500m south of the turn-off.

Take Wanneroo Road south bound, then turn left onto Ocean Reef Road, continuing on to Gnangara Road. Follow this until you reach Tonkin Highway and turn south, heading towards Perth. Exit onto Hepburn Avenue and take the left slip lane onto Beechboro Road. The Whiteman Park entrance is approximately 500m south of the turn-off.

Arriving by public transport
The new Morley-Ellenbrook line is now operating, which allows you to travel from Perth to Whiteman Park Station, at our eastern entrance, in just 25 minutes!
The Whiteman Park Station is located 350m from the Park's entrance, before a 30-minute meander through open paddocks and bushland to the main attractions in the Village.
There are two ways to enter the Park, depending on what day and time you are visiting.
- You can walk to the Village and Caversham Wildlife Park from the Drumpellier Drive entrance, via a two (2) kilometre signposted pathway. On average, this will take most visitors about half an hour. The Path Network map shows the location of the path in relation to the road and Drumpellier Drive entrance.
We do not recommend walking on the road, as there is no adjacent path, hence posing a danger to pedestrians. If walking, please use the separate, marked pathway through the open fields for your safety. Shelters are located along the length of the path, should you encounter some inclement weather. - Alternatively, on their operating days, you can catch a Heritage Tram Ride from the new tram stop just outside the Whiteman Park Station. This service is free for 2025, with limited operating hours making weekends the best time to visit. See the Heritage Electric Tram Rides page for details on their operating days and time.
- On weekends (Saturday and Sunday) you can catch a bus from Whiteman Park Station into the Village at Whiteman Park. This is a free service for 2025. See the current timetable.

The Bus Preservation Society of WA operates a weekend pick up service from our Drumpellier Drive entrance to the Village, on behalf of Whiteman Park.
This return services operates every 15 minutes, connecting with train services at the Whiteman Park Station.
