We’re celebrating our four-legged visitors with a fun-filled Doggies Day Out especially for the Park’s pooches!
Hosted in the lush surrounds of Mussel Pool West, there's loads of space to roam in and around the event to find local pet services, pick up loads of great pet products and generally have fun with your four-legged family members.
The kids won’t miss out either, with face painter, doggy-themed bouncy castle and more to keep them entertained. This is truly an event for the whole family – pooch and all!

DOG ATTENDANCE
Remember, dogs are permitted and encouraged to attend the event, but must be on a lead and under your control, like at all times in Whiteman Park.
Dogs requiring muzzles by law must wear them at all times during the event.
PARKING
Parking is available at Mussel Pool west opposite from the event area or car parks 20, 22, 24, 25 and 27 (plus ACROD parking at car park 26). Alternatively, park in the Village and catch* a train to the event!

program
DOGGIE COMPETITIONS
We have a paw-fect program of doggie competitions planned for the day!
- Pitch Pawfect @ 10.30am – A comp for the crooners and the barkers! Whose pooch can sing the best?
- I Wuv You @ 11.15am – Does your doggo think it is human and wants to tell you, “I love You”? Well let’s hear it! Let your pooch take to the stage and give us their best 'I Wuv You'!
- Fancy Dress @ 12noon – Our judges are on the lookout for the best dressed for this one. Are they Elton John or the Rockers? A punk or a rainbow unicorn? Enjoy showing off your favourite actor, singer, style or even pollie as the best dressed doggo!
- Dog’s Got Talent @ 1.00pm – Is your dog a ‘booper’? Can they catch a treat or shake paws on demand? If so, this is the competition for them!
- Happy Dog @ 1.45pm – Whose pooch best emulates our iconic ‘Happy Dog’? We’re looking for the dogs with the widest grins and the waggiest tails!
- Lookalikes @ 2.15pm – Do you and your dog share more than a home? If you’re looking a bit twinsy, this mini-comp is for you!
Register your pet pooch for one of these fun comps before the event and you'll receive a cute clip-on dog waste bag on arrival!
You can also register on the day, up to 15 minutes before the competition too (but you won't be rewarded with our cute giveaways, so be sure to register early!). Pre-registration closes at 8.00pm AWST on Saturday 14 September, and giveaways are limited to one per (human) person.
